ABOUT ME :
Dr. S. R. Anand graduated from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur (D.D.U.G -Gorakhpur) with a 3-year full-time Bachelor's degree in Science and a Postgraduate from the University of Allahabad (AU) with a 2-year full-time Master’s degree in chemistry and specialized in Analytical Chemistry, 1-year full-time Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed) at Kanpur University, Kanpur. My course major includes a variety of theoretical and practical courses as well as a great deal of laboratory experience, including an internship at the University of Allahabad, Allahabad (A.U-Allahabad) and Ph.D. (2020) in Inorganic Material Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, at Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, India., under the supervision of Dr. Sumit Kumar Sonkar. Dr. Anand works as an Assistant Professor (Guest Faculty) at the Department of Chemistry at the Central University of Allahabad, India.
I am interested in research on nanomaterials for photocatalysis, wastewater treatment, sensing, biosensing, toxicity, removal of toxic heavy metals and agricultural applications, etc. I completed my doctorate under the supervision of Dr. Sumit Kumar Sonkar from 2016 to 2020. I had the privilege of completing my research work in his best laboratories. From there, I learned about the use and applications of carbon nanomaterials. After leaving, I also worked as an Assistant Professor at Allahabad University. It was a good experience for me. Right now, I am working as an Assistant Professor at Jagannath University. I am delighted that I got the Seed Money Project 2024 for 2 years. I have developed a new laboratory for SRA Carbon Nanomaterial Research Groups to pursue the above topics with the seed money grant provided by Jagannath University Jaipur. I have a well-equipped platform for studying the behavior of various nanomaterials on the nanoscale.
